Mine connected immediately when hooked up. It has custom Verizon firmware so there is no guarantee it will work on other systems. WebClick the "Wireless" top menu and the "Wireless" left menu. In "Wireless Network (SSID)" change your Wi-Fi name. In "Pre-Shared Key" check "Advanced WPA" to add a new Wi-Fi key.
